Sharing God's Blessings - Pastor Andrew Chrysler 2/2/14

Pastor Andrew speaks on how we need to give away the blessings that have been given to us. As He illustrated in this message, The dead sea has no outlet and so has no life, if we don't share the blessings God has given us, we too will soon become stagnate. Gen 28:14 ...and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. God wants to bless the world around us through us, we need to be sharing God's blessing with all of those around us.

Walter Vs. Walter - Part 2 Rich Ballard 1/19/2014

This week at God's Little Brown Church worship leader Rich Ballard  preached while the pastor is a way at a conference. He finished a 2 part sermon called "Walter Vs. Walter."He talked about 2 fictional Walter’s that are very prevalent in today’s society. He reviewed part 1 of this sermon where he talked about Walter White from the very successful TV series “Breaking Bad” and his transformation and how it relates to what can happen to us when we begin to dabble in sin and make bad choices. This Sunday He talked about Walter Mitty from the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” In this part he looked overcoming our fears and what God says about doing the impossible.Gods Little Brown Church is located right near the bridge South Alburgh on the corner of Rt 2 and Rt. 129. www.glbcvt.org

Agreeing with God's Plan Pastor Andrew Chrysler 1/12/14

Pastor Andrew speaks about our plans verses God's plan. Sometimes We think God should do something one way like Naaman the Syrian General who thought Elisha the prophet should come out and wave his arms to heal him instead he just told him to wash in the Jordan river. He had to adjust his plan to God's plan for his healing. Pastor Andrew elaborates on that story and others where our plans don't always agree with the way God's plans go. 

A New Year, A Fresh Start, Pastor Andrew Chrysler 1/5/14

Pastor Andrew is back and is speaking on creating a fresh start in our lives as we begin a new year. Looking at the Jewish new year and how it was at the time of Passover where they were required to remove all leaven from the house. Leaven is a type of sin in the bible and we too need to remove that from our lives as we begin the new year. We also need to begin to put the word in our lives and read the bible over the year Pastor showed a few different plans we could use to track our reading. 

Walter Vs. Walter

Brother Rich Ballard GLBC's Worship leader speaks this Sunday on Walter Vs. Walter - In part one He looks at the life of Walter White of Breaking Bad fame and in Part 2 he will speak on Walter Mitty. In both cases we will look at the biblical principles we can learn by looking at these two fictional characters.In Part one we will look at the transformation of Walter White from a High School chemistry teacher to drug lord. And use his example to look at what the bible says about how trials and temptations can transform us both for good and as in Walter White's case bad. In Part 2 we will look at the example of Walter Mitty and how we can accomplish the impossible.
